Fred Hakim is an all American success story. He started F&H builders with the help of his wife, Helene, from the ground up. Saving money while working two jobs , he built his own home in 1981. This hobby soon turned into a passion, and he is now one of the most experienced developers and builders in the Longview area.

He has developed numerous subdivisions including Fern Ridge, Holly Ridge, Holly Trail, Pebble Ridge and now Fern Ridge II. Some examples of his quality residential workmanship can be seen on Holly Ridge and Holly Trail. He has also branched into comercial building; examples include the Rheumatology Clinic on Judson Road,the office building on Courthouse Dr. facing Loop 281 and Panther Quick Stop on Gilmer Road.
